Creative Assembly to develop Viking: Battle for Asgard

Sega Europe has announced that Sega Creative Assembly will be developing their new 360/PS3 title Viking: Battle for Asgard.

Featuring a range of creatures from Norse mythology that game will feature an "addictive combat style with destructive mythical powers and abilities". The game will also feature some real-time strategy elements controlling allied troops.

Gary Knight, European marketing director for Sega Europe, had this to say:

Skarin is a cutting edge hero in a fantastic re-imagining of Norse Mythology. Skarin is obviously a very dangerous man, Add in his inner conflict, a confused heritage and a growing distrust of the Gods and you have the makings of gaming?s next great hero.

Pretty sure that the Australian studio isn't working on this title though.
