Just been reading up on this game, sounding good. I am pretty sure, bout 80"(percent) that THQ will be publishing the Xbox and PC versions of the game. Lets hope the game is good this time around. I hope all the extra time they have spent on the game clears all the glitchy bugs which riddled previous versions.

Ok heres the low down. Sony has come on board to help IR gurus and here are the results. Firstly the whole in game dynamics have been cleaned up, (hopefully) better IA, every player face masked on plus your own if you have eye toy, 10 year franchise mode with end of season trades as well as national draft. Hell even if the gameplay sucks, It will have a bit of longevity. oh and one last thing. 2 GAMES IN FRONT. WERE THE EAGLES WE'RE FLYING HIGH

For everyone who thinks it is PS2 only, stop thinking that, to release it only on PS2 would be a very bad marketing decision, I know, that is the industry I work in. In 2004 the players you dont control basically stand and do absolutely nothing, it is imposible to control everyone at once so i would definitely like to see a change involved in that place. I dont care about the brownlow and captain stuff, i dont need such great graphics but IR Gurus have a tremendously hard job to fulfil after the few games where they slacked off a bit.
We need realistic bounces and tap outs, realistic kicks (for gods sake afl players need more of a run-up and they should be able to kick a drop punt with no wind longer than a measley 35-40 metres) and handballs that go where you want them to go instead of what suits the closest player. tackles sometimes take two seconds to stick and neway, none of the umpires decisions seem logical. bumps are hard to do so yer and the funny as air species where they stick in the air for 4 seconds and mark it over everyone. AND NUMBER ONE PRIORITY, HAVE OPTIONS WHERE YOU CAN VIEW THE GOD DAMN CONTROLS!!!!! I spent hours trying to figure the controls and i still dont know how to do some important moves.

Hey, i'm from Perth Western Australia, and I really enjoyed AFL Live 2003 which I still own on PS2. I will defenitely save up for AFL Premiership 2005 for PS2 this year, and it will be even more worth it if my favourite team Fremantle Football Club can score a spot into the upcoming finals. I feel bad for Acclaim having to fade away from the gaming market, but hey...that means all rights go to IR Gurus in making the game. They're awesome when it comes to making AFL games, like I also own Kevin Sheedy's Coach 2002 and it's awesome. Too bad that they're never going to make another coaching simulation game again. But i also was told by a friend at EB Games the it is either coming out on August 1 or between August 20 and 30, so i don't no what 2 beleieve. but if it doesn't come out til next year, which would be two years past when it should have been released, i would b very pissed off. cheer up...the PS3 will be coming out in March 2006 worldwide (American Spring), thus we will probably have an AFL Premiership 2006 on our shelves for PS3 which will probably have PS2 graphics which is good so it'll run more smoother and load faster (hopefully), and will probably be on a PS3 DVD-ROM disk instead of the typical PS3 Blueray disk. rumour: speaking to a mate of mine who works at EB in brissy and he has played a demo of AFL premiership 2005. He tells me that during the demo it flashes to an AFL legends team which you will be able to unlock and play in an exhibition game.He did not see who was in it though. Release-August 20th

I work at EB games and the covers of the game are in stores of we speak. only problem, there are no games in them. It is DEFINATELY coming out 25th of august for sony 2 and mostlikely (95"(percent) chance) october the 1st for xbox. it will not be out on pc untill 2006, and when 2006 comes you might aswell wait for february when AFL 2006: premiershipe edition comes out, which will be the same as AFL Premiership 2005 accept with updated roster and small pointless changes

The Game is NOT i repeat NOT out yet and the release dates is still not confirmed. However there have been a few release dates floating around for the PS2 version. These are 25 August and 8 September. The game has not been announced for PC or Xbox yet but im preety sure it will be released in the not to distant future.

Well considering it's hard for EB to have it on the shelves when IR Gurus are going through the submission process still (mind you I suspect they will get it any day now). Basically once they get submission it takes about 3 weeks for sony to then get the product on the shelves etc.

you can also unlock stadiums such as manuka oval and aurora stadium along with training grounds
Mauka and Aurora are DEFINITELY not in the game. The game is at the submission stage for PS2. Xbox and PC versions are still in production so no date is set for them yet. Don't trust EB as those guys just pull dates out of their aSSes. Sure the box art is there but that don't mean jack when the game in in the submission process.

No that is not true. Great news everyone. I work at eb and last week we received 3 copies of the game. i have to tell you its the best game i have ever played. Unfortunately we are not allowed to put them on the shelves until the 18th of August. By the way its great and there is even a hidden feature which is worth the cost of the game alone!

Re AFL Premiership 2005, I just checked with EB games sotre and they told me AFL Premiership 2005 will be out 25 August but only is PS2 format and that SONY bought the rights from the AFL for the game, which may mean no pc or xbox version, now if that is not anti compeitive, what is!!

AFL fans can now play alongside some of the biggest names in the AFL thanks to a new Playstation 2 game that was launched today by the AFL chief executive officer Andrew Demetriou.
AFL Premiership 2005 features the latest technology called EyeToy which enables fans to add their own digital image into the game so that they can kick and handpass to all of their AFL heroes.

Fellow Gamers, a friend of mine works at EB in brisbane at one of the Suburban stores and apparently, even he isn't sure what the release date is. I rang him after tea and he told me that not only with AFL Premiership 2005 but with NRL 2 , they are not sure of a release date but he told me NRL 2 should be late September (Crossing Fingers) and as for AFL 2005, well that's anyone guess althought that little computer thing they check in to see release games at there stores well it states that they are expecting it (EB) to be released in September...
Is there someone out there NO BULLSHIT who can give us all a definitive answer on when this F(*&^"(percent)S game is coming out ??..

However i have just got off the phone with representatives of the game and i am pleased to hear that copies of the games should be in stores around Australia within the next 2 weeks. u ps2 gimps r douche bags. Xbox is a much better console (better graphics, way quicker loading times, halo, halo 2). Have u ps2 fags compared the difference between gta san andreas on ps2 to xbox. That shows how much better the xbox is than the ps2. Plus my xbox is modded and its got a sick media centre which alows me to play video files and crap. i can also play nintendo 64. ps1, sega dreamcast, arcade and all this other stuff . i dont see ur pooie pspoo doing that.
