You might have noticed some new icons and links appearing on the main page here and there. It usually means that I've been busy working on some more functionality for the website. The new features are pretty useful, so I will give a brief summary on each of them.
Sumea News Feed - I'm particularly happy to get this working. Basically it will allow any website or homepage to receive the latest news and job headers from Sumea for display on their site. Sumea automatically updates the feed every 8 hours, so the news will always be up to date. It's extremely easy to implement too and just requires copying a style sheet and a script tag into your page. Sumea has been all about promoting the local game industry and talent, and it's hoped that this news feed will give a wider audience to local game industry news and job opportunities. Sumea Chat - You can connect to the Sumea irc channel through an irc application like Mirc, but for those who want to avoid the hassle, I've put up a java irc applet which will automatically put you there. Just enter your desired nick name and enter! You'll find some regulars in the channel and I'll occasionally be there too if there's anything you need to ask. Click here to try Sumea IRC.
Sumea Calendar - A calendar graphic for upcoming events is available on the Sumea Calendar page. It's a nifty feature where you can click through the months to see ahead on which days something is happening. Have a look here!
