Sidhe evolving in shifting economic environment

Company

With so many studios competing for work-for-hire contracts and publishers tightening their belts in the continuing economic downturn, many developers are finding it very tough to stay afloat.

Mario Wynards, CEO of New Zealand's Sidhe Interactive, describes the challenges developers like Sidhe are facing to Gamasutra and what measures the New Zealand based studio is taking to weather out the storm.

Apart from investing in pre-production and concepting, downloadable content and emerging markets, Sidhe have put more importance on their website and plan to work on a lot more original I.P. From Gamasutra...

(Mario) "We're working on our first IP... and we'll start talking about new projects."...

A great and very insightful article, head on over to Gamasutra for the entire thing!
