Senior Concept Artist

We are looking for a talented and driven senior artist to work fulltime within our concept art and design team in our Wellington studio. This is a salaried permanent position.

Working closely with the Art Director toward developing the visual design of our projects, the Senior Concept Artist shall lead and motivate a small band of artists within a collaborative, creative, team-focussed environment.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A demonstrable and mature artistic ability
  • The capacity to adapt and work across a diverse range of artistic styles
  • The willingness and ability to mentor and inspire others
  • The ability to communicate effectively and with confidence
  • Three or more years experience working within a concept art environment
  • A proven track record for contributing towards successful creative industry projects
  • The capacity to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A developed understanding and appreciation of the medium of video games

    3D Modellers

    We are looking for skilled 3D modellers to work fulltime in our Wellington studio. These are salaried, fixed term positions.

    Operating within a highly creative and team-focused environment, our 3D modellers work closely with other production art staff to create all manner of characters, environments and props for our games.

    Ideal candidates should possess:

  • A solid understanding of form and function, and how those elements interact
  • The capacity to effectively interpret concept art (and other source material) into first-rate 3D models for use in a real-time 3D environment
  • A developed and proven understanding of UV mapping techniques, and how they are best applied to 3D models for games
  • The ability to deliver a consistently high level of quality output across both high and low resolutions
  • The ability to communicate effectively and with confidence
  • The capacity to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A developed understanding and appreciation of the medium of video games

    Texture Artists

    We are looking for skilled texture artists to work fulltime in our Wellington studio. These are salaried, fixed term positions.

    Operating within a highly creative and team-focused environment, our texture artists work closely with other production art staff to skin all manner of characters, environments and props for our games.

    Ideal candidates should possess:

  • A demonstrable ability to paint
  • The capacity to adapt and work across a diverse range of artistic styles
  • A developed appreciation for surface texture, light and form – and how those elements relate to and interact with one another
  • The capacity to effectively interpret concept art (and other source material) into first-rate textures for use in a 3D environment
  • The ability to deliver a consistently high level of quality output at both high and low resolutions
  • The ability to communicate effectively and with confidence
  • The capacity to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A developed understanding and appreciation of the medium of video games
