Working on a small game to showcase the Devlog

Well, I'm making a game . I'm spending the next few weeks on making a small game to showcase the gamedev log feature on tsumea where any member can create a game entry and other members can post journal posts with art, music or just development updates. All you need to do is select the game title in your journal and it'll show up on the game page. Other members can also choose to follow the gamedev log which they can follow along on their dashboard.

The game I'm making itself is a pretty simple compilation of old school games. I just needed to get it out of my system to make these simple games I enjoyed as a kid, compile into an all in one arcade. I was tempted to do it in 3D so that I can get to learn Blender and experiment with shaders in Unity in the process, but I didn't want to increase the development time more than necessary since I really want to get to work on another feature I have planned on tsumea.

So, to sum it up, the goal is a compilation of simple arcade games, made in Unity, simple lo-res pixel art, for release on itch.io for free. The games will be like arkanoid, space invaders, galaga, pengo, 1942, maybe more. We'll see how I go!
