State Library of Queensland hosts 'Garage Gamer' exhibition

Location

Get down to the State Library of Queensland and unleash your passion for play this summer at 'Garage Gamer' - a video and mobile games exhibition, with workshops, films, talks and special events.

Garage Gamer is Queensland’s first interactive games venue dedicated to local game lovers and game makers. It features dozens of new games, a first peek at pre-releases, and a chance to get away from the screen and explore the ideas and creative processes behind the digital games of today.

Drop in and grab yourself an iPad, jump on a PC, or hook yourself into the Big Play screen. Each station is pre-loaded with some of the hottest games available, and will be updated regularly with new releases.

Highlights include:

Level Up games nights :: Friday 11 Jan, 8 Feb, 8 Mar, 12 Apr, 6pm-9pm
Crowd-funding your game (talk with Alex Norton, creator of the Kickstarter-funded Malevolence RPG) :: Wednesday 23 Jan, 6pm-7pm
The Mana Bar's Trivia Night :: Wednesday 20 Feb, 6pm-9pm
