Right Pedal Games accelerator announced, open for applications

We've seen some new and exciting services over the years that cater to the emerging independent games developer, offering special assistance in areas that local start-ups don't have the expertise or manpower to handle. Along with funding support from state and federal Government, and services such as Surprise Attack and PUG Consultancy for marketing, local indies are receiving more options on the kind of assistance they need.

Adding to this increasing list, a new service has been recently announced which will offer indies a special incubator-like opportunity. We've been eagerly anticipating office/utility sharing and mentoring startup environments like those seen in Silicon Valley but for local games development for quite some time, and we're hoping this is just the beginning of more indie games invested like this locally.

Right Pedal Studios is a games accelerator based in Brisbane which is being managed by veteran games developer, John Passfield and seeded by River City Labs founder Stephen Baxter. It's open to all Australian games developers.

We emphasise high iteration development and are focused on helping you achieve success by providing access to capital, resources, advice and mentorship from industry experts.

With access to industry experts and investors, Right Pedal Studios could be the perfect home for your game.

The accelerator is open to smaller teams of 3-5 people with a great mobile game, and Right Pedal Studios are offering funding of up to $50,000.

The closing date for applications is the 20th January, 2013.
