A demo party and game development competition is about to hit Perth, Western Australia. nullarbor is an event designed to bring together a community of Australian programmers, designers, artists and musicians to promote interactive technologies and a form of electronic art called demos.
The full-day event (9AM to 9PM) takes place at Edith Cowan University, Mount Lawley, on Thursday the 23rd of February 2006.
Entry and participation is free. Throughout the day the entries can be played, viewed and voted on, there will also be a surprise contest running every hour. Select episodes of Control Freaks, and locally produced SceneTV will be screened around the campus, and nullarbor will wind up with a BBQ.
Prizes to be given out on the day include cash, CDs and DVDs, along with some cool gear from Microsoft.
