  • 2. TheBoyMadeOfSnot - Sat, 6 Jan 2007 14:30:46ZWell, using the wonders of the internet, you could find out on their website that they're in Western Australia.. namely Perth.
  • 3. Anonymous Coward - Sat, 6 Jan 2007 20:15:7ZI've never heard of these guys before. Locally or internationally. What exactly have they done game development wise before?

I suppose I could search the net, but I couldn't be bothered.

  • 4. Anonymous Coward - Sun, 7 Jan 2007 14:17:40ZOn there website they talk about being a new firm.
  • 5. Anonymous Coward - Thu, 11 Jan 2007 21:35:2ZHmm danger, Will Robinson
  • 6. The Fosh - Mon, 12 Feb 2007 0:35:52ZSounds dangerous - does anyone know what they're offering?
  • 7. Jackydablunt - Sun, 4 Mar 2007 20:31:52ZJust started working design for them a little while ago and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. I can't predict the future and I've been wrong maaaany a time in the past, but for now I like the people, I love the project, and the head guys are just really easy going and down to earth guys, but additionally they seem to know what they're doing without boasting and talking themselves up.

Either way I can't really see it as being "dangerous", I've been in "dangerous" before and this ain't it, its just a regular place. If you want more info I guess the best thing to do would be to simply ask them, or ask me, though the info I give wont be much due to the NDA.

  • 8. Apologetic Abuser - Thu, 15 Mar 2007 14:4:15ZI hate will robinson... such a jerk... sorry
  • 9. latexnut - Thu, 12 Apr 2007 14:36:19Zfunny how it does not mention well being of the staff in the front page

  • 10. Jackydablunt - Fri, 13 Apr 2007 0:42:41ZIt's more about getting lead positions hammered down first, then filling out the rest. But from what I've seen most places do still look at entry level despite putting down minimums of this and that. All of the jobs I've worked, every one, I didn't meet the criteria for but I applied anyway. Granted I got knocked back by a hell of a lot, pretty much the majority of Aus studios have knocked me back because they were looking for something I didn't have. But every now and then you'll get some place that will go 'hey, this guy's actually got something here'. All companies have entry level staff, all of them, they'd be stupid to shut that off, especially in aus where there is generally little exp, so apply, apply everywhere, and keep updating your resume. You know your strengths, and sooner or later some place will notice them too.
  • 11. Maestro - Fri, 13 Apr 2007 9:46:49ZMy experience was very similar to Jackydablunt, I just kept putting my resume in with companies every couple months until one saw my potential. I put a few code samples in there as well, although they weren't of full games since I was also working on full time demanding business software (more hours than games in some cases due to strict deadlines) so I just put in what I could.
  • 12. Apologetic Abuser - Fri, 13 Apr 2007 14:22:47ZThanks guys...
You give me hope that I may actually get a job.
