Console Programmer:
Playcorp Studios is looking for professional game developers with console (XBoxOne or PS4) experience to join it’s programming team. As a console programmer, you will be helping the team to create fun AAA games for PC and Consoles.

Requirements and experience:
* At least 3 years of professional game development experience
* 1 or more shipped title on consoles (XBoxOne and/or PS4) - Other console experience also considered
* C# expert
* Previous experience with Unity 3D
* Strong knowledge of Networking, Multi-threading, compilers and computer graphics
* Experience optimizing both performance factors and memory footprints on consoles using hardware and software profilers
* Strong communicator that works well in a team

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Optimization of code to meet the performance requirement on target devices
* Finding creative solutions to create performant code from an existing codebase, that harnesses the unique capabilities of the target platform.
* Define the required steps and estimation time to deliver assigned tasks
* Work with designers and artists on the unique platform TSRs or TRC issues - Console’s platform quality assurance requirements.
* Troubleshooting and debugging issues in the game
* Working in an agile development environment
* Support the team with your expertise and help to maintain best development practices
* Contribute to code review and technical design documentation
* QA testing of other team members’ task submissions

Nice to have
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
* Good understanding of ECS pattern and Unity Dots
* Experience in low-level programming using C/C++
* Experience with modern graphics pipelines and rendering APIs

Playcorp Studios is searching for an enthusiastic and talented 2D artist with a passion for games, to work onsite at our office space located in Melbourne's city centre.

In this role you’ll be expected to concept a range of assets from characters, environments and props as well as create 2D artworks, including backgrounds, icons and other work as required by the project.

We are looking for an artist who:
-- Is able to successfully follow schedules and meet deadlines.
-- Has extensive experience in Photoshop or equivalent software.
-- Shows strong illustration skills.
-- Has icon creation skills.

The artist must be able to concept and meet technical requirements including character design, environment design, interface design and iconography. Playcorp Stuidos is looking for a Senior Lead Programmer with proven Game Industry experience to help our team manage our team.
We're looking for someone who drives the programming team to their full potential while being on top of all programming tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reporting to producers and creative leads on software timelines, resources and code progress.
- Leading the programming team responsible for creating all the computer code which runs and controls the game.
- Reviewing the technical specification of the game and managing and overseeing all code development.

We’re looking for an experienced Unity (C#) developer to work on The Cosmos is MINE! This is a full time on-site role in Melbourne CBD. You’ll be a Unity developer that’s part of our small but growing team. You’ll be expected to wear many hats, working together with other team members to make sure that we’re doing the right things and meeting our responsibilities to our players. You’ll be expected to take ownership of certain parts of the game architecture, as we’ll be relying on you to make decisions about *how* we should build our game. Communication is essential. Job ads say that a lot, but to be clear, we expect critical feedback where it is deserved, and expect staff to be able to deal with it constructively when it’s received.

Also, we’re making a strategy game – the person we’re looking for will have experience working on and playing strategy games.

We’re also looking for a new concept artist with superb traditional art skills to help us define the vision for Animus.

This is a full time on-site role in Melbourne CBD. You will become an integral part of the Playcorp team and have a close working relationship with the lead designer and lead technical artist. You will need to be able to work in multiple roles, take initiative and be highly creative. We are looking for someone who loves strategy games and is willing to have a personal stake in the project. Industry experience is desirable but not essential, as long as you have a portfolio of finished work that you can share with us.
