Depth Analysis was founded in August 2003 to research and develop a new form of performance capture called “Motion Scan”, which has the potential to revolutionises the process of making video games, films, television and commercials by using a new form of performance capture. The IP that underlies this technology is now the subject of two patent applications with several currently being drafted.

A related company Team Bondi PTY Ltd, was set up in May 2003 as a centre of excellence for video game development in Australia and to produce the next generation of video game content for Sony Computer Entertainment's next generation console, the PLAYSTATION3. Team Bondi's first video game title L.A. Noire will use Motion Scan technology.
The success of this technology to-date requires the existing team to be expanded to fully commercialise this project.
