Mighty Kingdom’s ever-expanding team is looking for a pipeline technical director to join us in Adelaide, South Australia!

Job Summary:
As a Pipeline TD at Mighty Kingdom, you will work closely with the Product Managers and a multidisciplinary and talented team of programmers, designers and artists, with a goal to ensure workflows, tools and processes are improving the way we make games, across various projects ranging from Console to Mobile F2P and Premium titles.

Qualifications/Skills:
-Computer Science or equivalent background is a big plus
-2+ years experience as a Pipeline TD in a game development or animation studio
-Demonstrated knowledge of working in Unity and similar game engines and troubleshooting results.
-Understanding of Asset Management Systems
-Demonstrated experience building or optimising existing content creation pipelines
-Technical fluency in a scripting language: C#, mel and python and/or API/programming experience
-Expert and generalist level knowledge of Maya
-Confident with Sourcetree, Git, Toon Boom, Spine rigging and animation tools
-Demonstrated knowledge in batch exporting/ baking animation data
-Ability to competently rig and skin characters and props
-Ability to light and bake lighting scenes
-Ability to learn quickly and pick up various in-house and 3rd party processes, tools and APIs
-Passionate about working in game engines

Responsibilities:
-Development and maintenance of tools, systems, procedures and interfaces to optimise project and studio wide pipeline solutions, and ensuring crew are working seamlessly within them
-The creation of well structured documentation of work-flows and pipeline tool-set
-Providing technical support across multiple disciplines and to help provide good communication systems between departments, creative leads, production and pipeline teams
-The accuracy of progress reporting to the Pipeline Supervision and Production teams

Job Summary:
As a Rigging TD at Mighty Kingdom, you will work closely with the Technical Pipeline team as well as a multidisciplinary and talented team of programmers, designers and artists, on various projects ranging from Console to Mobile F2P and Premium titles.
You will be an integral part of the team using your artistic vision and technical skill to help animate realistic characters and enhance the immersion of a player into the game.

Qualifications/Skills:
-At least 2+ years experience in a game development studio or film/animation studio
-Some knowledge of working in Unity and similar game engines
-Demonstrated knowledge of Maya
-Technical fluency in a scripting language: C#, mel and python and/or API/programming experience
-Strong understanding of anatomy, kinematics and animation pipelines
-Familiarity with common data formats: XML/JSON/etc
-Familiarity with common 3D data formats: OBJ/FBX/ALEMBIC/etc
-Ability to competently rig and skin characters and props
-Ability to learn quickly and pick up various in-house and 3rd party processes, tools and APIs
-Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
-Strong technical background with detail-focused problem solving

Responsibilities:
-Develop realistic skeletal rigs for a variety of humanoids and complex creatures
-Build and maintain rigs currently in production using internal tools
-Assist in the creation of new rigs and rig components
-Perform rig maintenance and fixes during production
-Collaborate with the team to continue to develop internal rigging framework
-Create tools with the Maya API and MEL scripts to enable Animators to create realistic animation
-Work closely with animators to troubleshoot issues and ensure efficiency in the workflow, and to ensure that the productions needs met
-Proactively flag and solve potential problems to stay on schedule
-Work with Pipeline TD, Lead TD’s, Tech Artists and Animators to develop and integrate tools into a robust pipeline
-Engage in knowledge sharing to proactively expand the technical know-how of our teams

Sydney based production studio, Kennedy Miller Mitchell (KMM) is looking for a Technical Director to work on exciting new games projects linked to our current film productions.

KMM Games are seeking a Technical Director to work on the creation of an engine and toolsets to drive a series of future products. The role would initially involve evaluating the products needs and evaluating potential off the shelf technologies and in house capabilities, as well as building a programming team to implement them.
