A 3D animated music clip we recently undertook has lost a number of key crew and is now in real danger of not being completed in time for the bands upcoming tour.

- A medium level Animator to complete a 2nd Level Animatic and assist in finalising scene action.

- A Senior Animator with a good grasp on Japanese influenced anime stylised movement (Total 03:03)

Audio Designer



The Audio Designer is responsible for planning and creating all activities related to sound. This position will report directly to the Senior Audio Designer.



Job Description:



? record and create original sound effects

? record and process dialogue

? implement all audio assets using custom built in-house tools

? produce and mix linear audio for Full Motion Video sequences

? ensure effective communication with development team(s)

? manage assigned tasks and scheduling





Requirements:



? 0-2 years experience of game audio industry experience

? Proven experience in audio production and sound design (see Application section below)

? A good knowledge of Digital Audio Workstation production techniques

? A good comprehension of recording techniques, (including Foley) and an understanding of various microphone types

Training:

Requirements

  • Minimum Five Years Programming Experience in Game Industry

  • Bachelor Degree ? Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Highly Proficient in C/C++ and Object Oriented Design
  • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies

Today I met with Robert and Mike from Interzone Games who are looking to Perth to setup their new game studio. They are building a AAA Massively Multiplayer Game and are currently scoping out various office spaces and personel in Perth. They are currently looking for experienced / intermediate game dev crew to kick off the studio with some 30 people or more.



They would like to know how many people in Australia / International are interested relocating to Perth if they did set up the studio in Perth and how many Perth expat game people would like to be part of the crew.

Minimum 2 games already completed or 4+ years industry experience and 1 game shipped. Entry level positions also considered.



Exceptional 2D character illustration skills. Highly experienced in 3D Studio Max, Character Studio & Photoshop.



Exceptional animation skills using Character Studio.

Experience using raw mocap data and motion capture files.

The ability to work without supervision to create high-quality works of art efficiently. Enjoy being part of a creative team and contributing to the creative process.

Strong portfolio of work demonstrating key areas of expertise.



Examples should include both high-poly (high-detail) and low-poly modelling.



3. Environmental Artists (Level Builders)



Minimum of 1 game shipped or 2+ years of experience in the games industry OR for an entry level position exceptional skills in level building that are demonstrable.



Exceptional skills in the areas of modelling, mapping, lighting and texturing low polygon models using 3D Studio Max and Photoshop.



The ability to work without supervision to create high-quality environments efficiently. Experience with scripting to create gameplay events in levels.



Enjoy being part of a creative team and contributing to the creative process.
