Of course, the sensible thing would be to use an existing game engine, but after a certain point, there is some curiosity if learning and fighting yet another game engine is really quicker that just writing something from scratch.
This is a promotional artwork that I created for an upcoming RPG style PVP game. The idea was to show the two factions of the game facing off and to represent the range of character races and classes that will be available to players.
We added some nice effects to levels. How do you think, is important to add this kind of things (sand, dust, wind, poisonous gas etc) to mobile games or better to cut then in order to increase optimization? (Sound in video is rather bad, we will fix it)
Comics intro for mobile game. Worth it?
In Outback Defender, we decided to focus not only on the gameplay but also on the narrative. How do you think - how much this decision can this be justified in the modern mobile games? We chose the format of the comics for storytelling. Here is an example of game intro.
