Ok, this is the new Draw Club activity, and it's a simple one. It shouldn't take you much time to do at all! It's the Sumea Pixel Town activity!!
http://www.sumea.com.au/sumeatown.asp
To participate, you first have to reserve your plot of land. Post in here which number you want. Some land is bigger than others, so if you don't intend to spend too much time on pixelling some art, choose the smaller ones. Once you reserve your land, take a snapshot of the webpage, chuck it in photoshop, and do your pixel-fu. When you're done, post a gif of only your area in this forum, and I'll grab it and add it to the page.
Everyone's welcome to participate (yes, even you coders!), and go nuts with ideas!! (it doesn't necessarily have to be of a house).
(btw, I'll be redesigning the logo/page a bit later.. just wanted to get the map up atm [:)])
i hate to be a pain, but i have made a Plot that actually has the pixelly style it is supposed to...[:p]
can I change again? i promise I wont change again!

the Methlab has strange effects on the local Moose...
pweeeease...
[lol] well there go the neighbourhood!
I forgot to put the number back on my property. Thats going to make it difficult when i want home delivery from the local meth lab!
thanks Jwalduck-I just posted the pic as an edit yesterday. Seems that Souri has found it promptly.
FYI- I used freehand to get the initial line work down. That way I was assured that all the lines were straight and on the correct angles for the isometric perspective. Also for straight lines in photoshop, 1)click at one end of the planned line 2)hold shift down & click at the other end of planned line -- none of that pixel by pixel cr@p for me [:0]
It's my clan of trained assassins!
For those of you who are working on your pieces, it would be nicer if you did your pictures the way Jacobt has done his - with a bit of the road in there, so I know where to place the picture on the map exactly straight away.
About the cars and extra things you want to see around the town, feel free to do some and I will put it on there.
David - yeh, your one looks a bit out of place, unfortunately. Can you do another please?
Oh yeh, and I've ditched the idea of animated gifs - we'll leave them all static for this one.
For those that are reading this and haven't reserved their plot yet - do so now before it all runs out! Pixel art is easy to do, have a go! [:)]
wow souri uve got it all nice and spiffy looking :P (interesting things to spot ey.... where to start!)
anyway i created this little "extras" gif for you to use if you like, its got a few things from my peice which u can whack into PS and change the colour scheme, but ive also quickly made a fire hydrant, a skateboarder, a park bench, a sewerage pothole thingy and two birds.

This is my plot. I hope this doesnt overlap, if it does, or u think its crap; please tell me and I shall do a much betta one ( i strongly believe I can)

It may suck because i really hate paint, i suck at photoshop, and flash (which i use) just doesnt go pixel-y.
