Firemint release Flight Control

Company

Firemint have just release a new casual game for the iPhone and the iPod touch called Flight Control. The game involves you guiding different types of airplanes to their landing spots by drawing out a path for them using your finger. There's some strategy involved of course, and I'm sure it gets a lot more hectic as it throws more planes the further your progress. Check out the youtube footage below of Flight Control in action - I really dig the 50's era artstyle, and the music captures that period very well too. All in all, it looks like Firemint have another quality title under their belt, and you can grab it at the apps store for a very affordable US$2.99!

Flight Control is a simple yet wickedly addictive take on air traffic control. The object of the game is to guide various aircraft to their appropriate landing zones by dragging out a flight path with your finger. While the game sounds simple, as planes accumulate on the screen, strategy becomes increasingly important. The game is set in the golden era of flight and the graphics, music and game-play hearken back to simpler times. Insanely addictive "one more go" game-play and gorgeous graphics and animation combine in a unique game.

Is it supposed to be 'Hi Score' or 'High Score'?

Too late to fix?

Yeah, was meant to be an intentional misspelling, 'Hi Score', kind of cute, and takes up less space. Surprisingly a lot of SMS'ers wouldn't know that it is a misspelling these days ;-).

Cool thing about iPhone, is it's never too late to fix, so we'll see whether people think it is strange or like it.

Great job! Good presentation and a very simple and fun seeming game. I like how you get a refreshing beverage when you win!

My hat goes off to all the guys and girls at Firemint!

The success of such titles like this will add more revinue and breathing room for larger scale games and more Australian jobs to go with them.

=D Excellent!
