Steve Fawkner in Next-Gen's top 100 developer list

Next-Gen have compiled a huge list of the top 100 developers based on their success in 2007 and their potential in 2008, and our very own Steve Fawkner from Infinite Interactive is on the list! And I'm not talking about the tail end of that list either, he's actually up there in #22! Now, if you go through the list, you'll notice some notable names from some of the word's top studios like Valve, Pandemic, EA etc who Steve has managed to be ranked higher than.

22. Steve Fawkner
26. Shigeru Miyamoto
27. Peter Molyneux
46. Sid Meier
78. Cliff Bleszinski (heh)

Steve Fawkner is one of game design’s old hands, having delivered every entry in the venerable Warlords series since 1990. In 2003 he departed SSG to form his own company, Infinite Interactive; from there he used his long design experience to meld the best of traditional and casual gameplay. The result was Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, a game that used a combination of RPG growth and Bejeweled to create a wholly addictive experience. The game did well enough to prompt porting to every major platform; now that Fawkner and Infinite are done with that task, however, he is free to work on Galactrix.
