New art/gaming magazine: JumpButton

Submitted by Drew Taylor

A new, independent, Australian art/gaming magazine launched this week, called JumpButton.

With a focus on the art and substance of videogame culture, the magazine
explores gaming as an art form, a matter of personal identity and a lifestyle.

Aimed directly at the gamer who wants more than game reviews and press releases, the first issue includes previously unpublished and original art, interviews, profiles, photography, visual previews, ethics, retro gaming fashion, and even a gaming-related short story.

'Issue One: Insert Coin' is now available nationally from all major newsagencies, Borders stores and art/design bookshops for $11 AUD.

I haven't been able to find an issue at a few local newsagents yet.

The first non-golf magazine I have bought since God was a child and, whilst it has done nothing for my handicap, it's a cooky fun read.
