Local game developers, let me know your youTube channels!

For those who may have not noticed, I've been working on sprucing up the media section on tsumea so it's a lot more useful and easier to use than before, and there's some extra functionality in the backend which will grab local dev related content as well. All the latest youTube members we've subscribed to from our own channel are checked regularly for new videos, and if any are found, they're automatically added to our media section and our front page.

Whether you're a one man indie or a hundred plus game development company, there really is no reason why you shouldn't be utilising a service like youTube to promote your games. The videos that are uploaded on youTube reach so much further than to the visitors there. Video channels can be subscribed to, aggregated, and your footage gets reposted, and embedded on so many other places outside of youTube that it's well worth the tiny effort for the extra publicity you get in return.

Anyway, this is a call for local game developers to hit me up with your youTube channels. You don't have to "friend" me, and really is no more hassle than just telling me your youTube channel! Currently, we have the following developers (as well as the AIE) subscribed:

AieEdu
BinarySpace
Black Lab Games
brawsome
creatureinteractive
Drop Spider Games
Endgame Studios
Farbs
firemintgames
HalfbrickStudios
KlickTock
Ludo Digital
nocturnalcentral
pikpokgames
sidhenz
TheVoxelAgents
Two Lives Left
WheelSpin Studios

If you're a local game dev and you have a youTube channel, or if you know of one not the list above, post the channel name in the comments section here or respond via Twitter! Thanks!

Great to see some action happening in S.A :) I've just followed you on Twitter (so your tweets will show up on our main page), and subscribed to your youTube channel so your new videos show up here too.

I've also added you guys to our developer listings page (which seems to have gotten an absurd number of visits since I've revamped that section a bit over a week ago). You're listed in the independent game devs section, and your page on tsumea is at:

http://www.tsumea.com/independent-games-developer/two-lives-left

Of course, the details there can be filled and edited anytime via the tsumea wiki. Game details are not required there for the time being, I'm planning to put in some functionality so devs can post their own game pages / details up.

Our youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/maxfase , and I post development micro-updates on my Twitter account at http://twitter.com/Jason_Bakker .

Cheers!

Hi Andrew, I have Drop Spider Games in our developers listing already (under independent game developers in Victoria), and all your past videos have just been included in the media section! Any future videos you have will be automatically added on here, so thanks!

Righto, got you subscribed and your videos in our media section. You're also listed in our developers listings, under Independent Games Developer (not much content there at the moment, but you can add/edit any time you like via the wiki). Thanks!

Our channel is 'EndgameStudios'.

We've just released our first public video - a trailer for our own original DS game "Fractured Soul" - a classic platformer that is played out across both screens of the DS.

The guys have put heaps of work into this game so we'd love to hear feedback from folks:

I just saw the tweet, subscribed to the new youtube channel, and added the trailer to our media section while you were probably posting that message :) Thanks.

Excellent, thanks for letting me know. We've added Ludo Digital to the listing, and have followed and subscribed to all your youtube and Twitter channels!
