Human Rights are Aussie Rules - Online and Smart Phone Game Designer and Developer

Location

The Human Rights are Aussie Rules Project is an education program teaching young people about human rights through the metaphor of sport. The project has three learning modules – a theatre performance, workshop and mass participatory game, Handball for Human Rights - which use principles of fair play to educate about complex ideas such as Freedom, Respect, Equality and Dignity.

In 2011 the project has received funding for the development of an online game exploring the above themes.

The Brief

We seek assistance from creative web developers, designers and animators on a contract basis to help us develop a game for young people aimed at Years 6-8. The game/s should be easy to use, interactive and should use games/sport to educate about Freedom, Respect, Equality and Dignity.

The game will be developed in conjunction with an Advisory Board and a youth reference group.
Developers and designers will need to be able to work collaboratively in a community based
environment.

Expressions of Interest process can be downloaded from the project website at http://www.humanrightsareaussierules.org.au/wp-content/uploads/Online-S…
