UI/UX Designer

DragonBear Studios is seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our vibrant and diverse team remotely, or at our creative CBD office in the Melbourne.

About the role:

This is a flexible contract role - it is a full time or part-time contract with 2-3 months of work to complete at a negotiable time frame. Optional remote role, 3 month contract with the possibility of extension.

Our preference is for applicants within Australia, but exceptional applicants within a similar time zone will be considered.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Creating assets in Illustrator and Photoshop based on our existing style.

  • Create wireframes to prototype and previsualise designs.

  • Implementing the UI assets into Unity and making sure they are working as intended on all required platforms.

     

Your skills:

  • Minimum 2 years full time UI/UX experience at a game studio.

  • Commercially shipped titles on PC/Console/Mobile

  • Hands-on experience implementing UI in Unity or similar game engine.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator are a must).

  • Confident understanding of typography and colour theory.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • implementing and adapting UI assets for console and PC release
