We seek Localisation Quality Assurance Testers to join our incredibly talented team. We have positions open working closely with our Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Thai, French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese and Traditional Chinese teams.

Location: On-site in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand

Full-time position - 40 hours a week

The position includes the following duties:

  • Testing new Path of Exile content and features to identify localisation and functional issues (in your specialised language and in English).
  • Reviewing in-game text to ensure translations are accurate within the context of the game.
  • Identifying and reporting linguistic issues.
  • Maintaining consistency with established terminology.
  • Communicating these problems to the development team through our issue tracking software.
  • Following up on the status of reported problems and working with developers and localisation team members to resolve them and verifying implemented localisation changes and fixes in-game.
  • Checking candidate builds of content updates and patches for problems by going through checklists.
  • Scripting automated test-cases and improving our testing tools.

We are seeking someone with:

  • At least 1000 hours of experience collectively with our games, Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2. Our games are complicated and members of our quality assurance team require vast experience with all aspects of the game. While there is some training, it is vital that you already fully understand the game itself in order to apply for this role.
  • C2-level proficiency (or equivalent) in one of the languages listed above, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, game design or equivalent OR two years work experience in a similar role.
