Another VTuber project from earlier this year, this was a personal project where my goal was to learn applying realistic face tracking to a non human character.
This was a commissioned project of a Twilight Princess inspired 3D VTubing avatar. My first time creating a VTuber, so I learnt a lot and enjoyed bringing the character to life!
Recently completed VTuber commission of a cute little Jerboa Knight! Was a pleasure to work on such a fun character and I learnt a couple of new things about stylized shaders and rendering along the way.

Like many who was at the Freeplay 2010 awards ceremony, I was more than curious to see the game that had took out the "Best Design in a Game" award which included finalists such as The Voxel Agents with Train Conductor.
Up Down Ready was submitted to the Freeplay committee by Sword Lady & The Viking, however, as they mentioned in their speech upon receiving the award, they had not released the game at the time.
It has been released now, however, and you can check it out at www.kongregate.…

To all those who attended the Freeplay 2010 event, it was a resounding success. Freeplay directors, Paul Callaghan and Eve Penford-Dennis are to be commended for their fantastic job organising the sell-out event, and it's hard to think of even more ways to drastically improve what was on for show this year.
I do, however, miss the social events that the first few Freeplays offered, although I highly doubt that the State Library of Victoria would allow beer there, even if supplied in plastic…
Brisbane's Halfbrick Studios are definitely on a roll. Following the success of the million-plus selling iPhone / iPod touch / iPad wonder hit, Fruit Ninja, is their latest Apple Appstore game, Monster Dash.
Released just last Thursday, it has managed to snag the #1 paid app position in both Australia and Greece, the #2 spot in the U.S, U.K, Canada, and has broken the top #5 paid app list in most other regions around the world. Not bad for just four days after release.
Also sweetening the…

*** 20/8/2010 Update:
Gamespot AU have received official confirmation from Krome Studios in a statement about the current state of affairs...
As we have seen by other recent announcements, the games industry is still going through economic challenges which Krome is not immune from.
