Another VTuber project from earlier this year, this was a personal project where my goal was to learn applying realistic face tracking to a non human character.
This was a commissioned project of a Twilight Princess inspired 3D VTubing avatar. My first time creating a VTuber, so I learnt a lot and enjoyed bringing the character to life!
Recently completed VTuber commission of a cute little Jerboa Knight! Was a pleasure to work on such a fun character and I learnt a couple of new things about stylized shaders and rendering along the way.
This is a piece I began as an entry to the modelling competition but I entered a little to late so I couldnt get it done in time. However I have continued him. He is a militia leader and is called the Red General because of his red hair.
Hi folks, I trust everyone has had a great New Years break and is eager to get back to work! I've uploaded some of the footage I captured from Game Connect: Asia Pacific 08 to our youtube channel and you can see them in our media section. You're in for a bit of a treat because I have available so far the sessions by Yahtzee, Blue Tongue on de Blob, the keynote speaker from Animal Logic, as well as the opening keynote for the conference.
I've got a fair few more sessions to encode and upload,…
One day to make the model
(lightwave, drew a front and side profile of a Fred Perry character, 'Gina', from his comic 'Gold Digger', it is rather sexist, but also a lot of fun. converted the tga into a point cloud to have in the modelling space while making the model)
this is to make a softbody character test with (each vertex to have different spring constraints applied after skinning) so wanted something relativly low poly (760 tri for the figure, 382 vertex) almost another 300 triangles for…
an interesting little exercise that i did back in november, was to make a pac man clone.
it was good to actually 'finish' something, but a pain in the kahoonas to make something on the pc not using directX (as i already knew how to use that, and wanted to brush up on openGl) also a pain that it was intended to be a one day exercise, so by the 3rd day was kind of getting sick of it.
it works, however stopped before implementing the ghost eyes running back to center of the map (they just teleport…
Hmm.. well, I have been working on my admin work over at www.dandwiki.com.. I have been looking into jobs (to no avail) and I have been trying to assist over here at tsumea (might get me into the eyes of a game developer). Oh, and I am in the process of designing 2 games.. But it doesn't look like thats going well..
Anyway, time for.. games, or tv... or bed.. or food! yay! or.. no, maybe drink.. hmm.. all of the above! woo!
(Disregard previous line, it was silly.. so, "Right, right, stop it.…
It's always interesting to see what software game developers use to complete particular tasks, and this press release from Autodesk is quite ingenious as it showcases a whole variety of Autodesk products and how they were used in some of the big name games that have been released this year. Worth a read!
