2D Artist

A Small Update

Journal Category

Thought it was a good time to update, with my current work schedule having a small rest.

An app that I was working on as the UI/Art designer has finally gone into bug testing, whilst at Opaque my work has now moved into 3D - around 100 sketches, diagrams and concept art later.

I decided to upload some of the more recent speed/matte/painting works I've been getting out whilst having breaks during my work day. Narrative tends to be an important factor in these artworks and I'm slowly trying to imitate principles of cinematography or visual story-telling through themes, cues and other elements.
Well, hope you all enjoy.

Always a pleasure, tsumea!

Welcomed aboard, and you definitely have some fantastic work there!

Your concepts would be great for studio work, but for independent games, they'd be well off the charts!

Thanks so much souri!

I have always followed Tsumea as a hopeful to break into the industry, but this year I finally started working as a 2D/3D concept artist/designer with Opaque Multimedia in Melbourne. I'm also always on the look out for anything I can lend a hand in - I'll be hoping to get involved in the game jam at the start of next year.

Keep up the really great work, your portal is probably one of the most important resources for the AU/NZ games industry!

My Art

Hi All, I'm a freelance artist based out of Melbourne, I work mainly in publishing and advertising but I would love to branch out into some game art. All comments welcome.

Introduction

The high quality of my work comes from my passion for the visual medium, my constant experimentation and innovation in my own artistic development, and my insistence on pushing for quality.

Given the opportunity to explore and experiment, I have the ability to emulate almost any style. This is why my gallery is so diverse. I've included some examples here.
