Of course, the sensible thing would be to use an existing game engine, but after a certain point, there is some curiosity if learning and fighting yet another game engine is really quicker that just writing something from scratch.
I've been inactive for a super long time!
Couple of fun stuff I've had the opportunity to work on, including doing all the textures/materials and pre-production stuff for Earthlight.
PS. I'm placing this under 'art' as my role in the project was doing all the textures/material painting stuff. Let me know if that's not cool.

Ember and her siamese fighting fish Sam. They both live in an old troop carrier in a tank graveyard out in the desert. The idea with this is to create a world which could be made into a mobile / indie game.
