Thanks to Fips again for keeping us in touch with Citizen Zero news. Paul McInnes (Lead Designer of Citizen Zero) has made a few important posts in the Citizen Zero forums on Micro Fortes eagerly awaited MMORPG. "now that the post-E3 jetlag has passed it seems like a good time to talk about the future of these forums.
We will be going public beta mid 2005 (with a limited beta some months before) and…

Rounding off the conference weekend, E31.b is for conference attendees to play and discuss each others' indie games and demos and show their stuff to the Melbourne gaming public. E3.1b will be Free Play's low-fi, indie and somewhat "two-fingered" answer to E3. It'll be an event that resembles an underground zine fair more than a glitzy corporate trade show but expect to see glamorous game industry types roaming around who are happy to give expert feedback and advice.
Indie games, demos, single-…

Wearing his trademark red shorts with sun imprints, nose cream, and a pair of boomerangs, Ty was seen walking around the E3 conference asking the patrons for a place to find some bush tucka and a spot to boil his billy. Confused patrons were known to run or offered the contents of their wallets as assurance for their own safety.*
*Ok, none of this is true, apart from the bit about Ty being at E3. Click here to see the news on www.bushrescue.com or click…
Gamespy has some coverage of Pandemic's Destroy All Humans from the E3 conference...
"One of this title's most impressive assets is its use of physics. Levitating and manipuliting animals, humans, or cars looks amazing. They can be hurled into other objects, affecting them as well. The world seems very open-ended, with plenty to interact with. Every human has a funny thought to read in their minds, and endless potential with their helpless carbon-based bodies.
Destroy All Humans was one of the…
Thanks to Fips for pointing out that IGN have a hands-on article on Micro Forte's Citizen Zero from the E3 conference... "CZ is Player versus Environment (PvE) oriented, and it uses "instances" for its missions. You won't be competing against other groups to kill a specific bad guy or get a specific item, as instancing transports you into a closed environment populated only by non-player characters and your teammates....
With the instancing system reducing griefing and friendly fire currently…
