The Human Rights are Aussie Rules Project is an education program teaching young people about human rights through the metaphor of sport. The project has three learning modules – a theatre performance, workshop and mass participatory game, Handball for Human Rights - which use principles of fair play to educate about complex ideas such as Freedom, Respect, Equality and Dignity.
In 2011 the project has received funding for the development of an online game exploring the above themes.
The Brief…
For 48 hours over the weekend of Jan 28-30 a group of 40 game designers, developers and artists - both amateur and professional - will come together for an intensive Jam Session, forming small creative teams to design and prototype innovative game ideas. We provide the space, the tools you need and even catering. You make the games, and the IP stays with you!

There's one worthy thing to note about Blue Tongue Entertainment's de Blob, apart from being an awesome game itself, and that is that the promotion for de Blob came with some highly humorous and incredibly gorgeous cinematics as well.

Apple have unveiled a page within iTunes which displays the top ten downloaded apps of all time as the appstore races towards hitting the 10 billion apps downloaded milestone.
